Font character spacing

Is there any way to set the character spacing on fonts?
If not, would this be difficult to add?
I'm using spaces at the moment but they are too large by half.

Which version of Moai are you using? In 1.1 and newer you can load fonts from Glyph Designer, a tool that will allow you to adjust kerning.

Thanks for the response. I'm using Moai SDK Version 1.2 Build 35. The Glyph Designer idea would partially work though I'd like to adjust character spacing on a per textbox basis. Is that possible?

I think spacing is a per-font setting not a per-textbox one so there probably no nice way to adjust spacing per-textbox. Depending on how many different spacing settings you need you could always just load up more than one font. Of course that would be non-ideal for a variety of reasons.
