No best practices.
The main problem for our team was the lack of high-grade examples. The same RocketLobster in assembly for iOS crash atMOAIInputMgr.device.mouseLeft: down.
Most need the source code, at least one full example, with menu, sound, saveload game state, animation, tiledmap etc.
